Hahaha that is so cool. I thought pelican's had long legs, this one look like half duck? Fascinating bird.
I was also surprised by the general look of it. We generally see them flying or "swimming"... Redondo beach is so different from Santa Monica, (we could also see plenty of sealions) and yet so close. Ah I love LA.
